Unfortunate Situation Leads to a Blood Bath on Ice Last Night
There is no arguing or second-guessing the fact that hockey is the best sport in the world, and the majority of loyal fans will always hold that belief. We have unfortunately witnessed great risk during the previous year with the beautiful game of hockey.
Playing hockey involves a lot of risk, from pucks to the face to skate blades cutting fragile areas. Sadly, during the Blackhawksgame yesterday night against the Colorado Avalanche, forward Alex Newhook of the Colorado Avalanche learned it the hard way.
Blood accumulated when Alex Newhook was struck in the face by a puck that was deflected by a Blackhawks stick.

Crazily enough Newhook got stitches and returned to play just under 20 minutes later in the next period, and he scored a goal! Truly Canadian built!
