The Edmonton Oilers Are One Out of 32 Teams to Hit This Crazy Stat This Year
The Oilers won their game 6-2 last night against the lowly Anaheim Ducks all the while putting on a show and an impressive stat regarding shots in the slot. The Oilers shot 30 times in that area which is the most by any team this season.
The Oilers also shot 53 times and put six past, John Gibson. These are the kind of efforts the Oilers are going to need to make their push to solidify a playoff spot this season.
Head coach Jay Woodcroft weighed in on his view about last night's victory. He felt the team had an overall good effort and deserved the two points they received.
Currently, the Oilers are sitting in the final wild-card spot, and will be buyers in the upcoming March 3rd trade deadline to bolster their team as much as possible to get into the playoffs. The Oilers have much work to do and it will be interesting to see what they can produce.
They continue their road trip and will play their next game in San Jose against the Sharks. Game time will be at 10:00 PM
