Recently, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that Flames forward Nazem Kadri has publicly criticized the team's head coach, Darryl Sutter, for their poor performance this season. Kadri's rare move of taking a stance against his coach has raised eyebrows throughout the league.

In addition, reports have surfaced that several Flames players have threatened to request trades if Sutter remains as the head coach next season.
