Recently, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that Flames forward Nazem Kadri has publicly criticized the team's head coach, Darryl Sutter, for their poor performance this season. Kadri's rare move of taking a stance against his coach has raised eyebrows throughout the league.

In addition, reports have surfaced that several Flames players have threatened to request trades if Sutter remains as the head coach next season. Sutter, a former farmhand turned NHL coach, has been known for his low-event defensive style and demanding practices. However, his outdated coaching methods and behavior towards players, such as intentionally misremembering Jakob Pelletier's name, have caused his popularity to wane among the team and its fans.

As the Flames look to rebuild and improve their performance next season, the future of their coaching staff remains uncertain.

As per a report from The Nation Network's Dean Molberg, Nazem Kadri is not the only Flames player who has expressed dissatisfaction with head coach Darryl Sutter. A number of other players from the team have reportedly made the same threat to demand trades if Sutter remains as their coach for the next season.

Sutter's coaching style has been questioned by several players on the team. His strict practice routines and defensive tactics, coupled with his behavior towards players, have left many feeling frustrated and unfulfilled.

The Calgary Flames' lackluster performance this season, coupled with the expiration of GM Brad Treliving's contract, has led to speculation among fans that the entire front office may be in jeopardy. Reports of player frustration with head coach Darryl Sutter have only added fuel to the fire.

Many fans are drawing comparisons to the departures of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk, who reportedly left the Flames due to their dissatisfaction with Sutter's coaching style. With the possibility of a new front office on the horizon, some fans are hopeful that changes may bring about much-needed improvements for the team.

Whether or not these reports hold any truth, it is clear that the Flames are in need of a turnaround. With the current season drawing to a close, fans will be eagerly watching to see what changes may be in store for the team in the upcoming offseason.
