It's been a good year for Anaheim Ducks Prospect defenceman Olen Zellweger. After helping lead Canada to their second straight gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championships earlier this week, the 19 year-old has been traded.
The Anaheim Ducks sent Zellweger back down to junior hockey for further development, and it was a good choice. Because now Zellweger has been traded from the Everett Silver Tips, to a legitimate Memorial Cup contender the Kamloops Blazers.
In return the Silver Tips get a load of draft picks..
The trade Includes 9 draft picks:
FOUR 1st round picks, a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th, and also 4 young players.
In 23 games with Everett this season Zellweger has 10 goals, and 18 assists and was a stand out for Team Canada at the World Junior's.
