On March 3rd, the NHL trade deadline will take place. Teams will have until 3PM to make their deals; beyond that time, transactions will no longer be allowed. Prior to the NHL trade deadline, some teams are still determining their game plans, while others, like the Chicago Blackhawks, are well aware of their strategy, which includes being sellers.
The two players most likely to be dealt before the trade deadline are Jonathan Toews and
Patrick Kane, but given recent reports that Toews may be dealing with the same sickness that kept him from playing the full 2020–21 season, it is unlikely that Toews would be traded. Kane, on the other hand, is still up for debate.
The Maple Leafs remain in the rumours surrounding Patrick Kane, but talk of Kane moving to Toronto has increased after NHL Sirius XM Radio broadcaster Dave McCarthy overheard trade rumours when the Maple Leafs faced the Blackhawks just two nights ago in Toronto.
This has added a lot of fuel to the fire, and we will have to see if these rumours are true, just 14 days away until the NHL trade deadline time will sure tell..
