The Edmonton Oilers are searching for additional pieces to strengthen their chances of advancing further into the post-season.
Their research shows they have identified a potential candidate from the Washington Capitals organization.
Friedman throwing more fuel on the Connor Brown fire on OilersNow 👀
Saying (approximately) "look, teams can't talk to UFA's prior to July 1, but, I'll put it this way - he's getting wined and dined by certain (Oilers) players" Friedman says Oilers have a very good chance of landing Connor Brown even though there are a lot of teams after him.
Stauffer mentioned the contract Brown may sign and Friedman asked him if he hacked into his agent's email LOL
Brown is former OHL linemates with Connor McDavid, and best buddies from the Maple Leafs organization with Zach Hyman.
Although Connor Brown was previously connected to the Oilers, it is more likely that he will receive an offer from the team during free agency.
Unfortunately, his performance during the last season was hindered by injuries, preventing him from reaching his full potential.
Nevertheless, he possesses versatile skills and is capable of adapting to different positions on the team.
Additionally, his tough and tenacious style of play aligns with the Oilers' gameplay and is crucial in achieving success during the post-season.
