The Edmonton Oilers are in for a push with 5 games within the next 8 nights. It is a critical time for the Oilers' playoff hopes.

During intermission, Gene Principe interviews a not-so-typical guest, Connor McDavid's brother, Cam in order to gain some more perspective on McDavid's approach to this season.

«I think he took this season a little differently than he has in past seasons. He just works so much harder, you can tell just the change, he changed part of his lifestyle and he's very dedicated to really wanting to win this year. And you can definitely tell.»

Cam explains how Connor has made lifestyle changes and how much more work he put in this season to keep pushing the Edmonton Oilers to be successful.

Which more or less, is McDavid willing the Oilers into a playoff spot this season?

During the game, McDavid scored his 61st goal of the season, impressively notching 300 career goals in a wrist-shot over Joonas Korpisalo in the shut-out over the Los Angeles Kings.

McDavid in another career-defining season, also became the first player in the NHL to have five 10-game points streaks in a season, breaking Wayne Gretzky's record in 1986-1987 of 4, McDavid also put himself in league with Mario Lemieux, Peter Stasny, and Bryan Trottier, as he became the 5th player in league history to attain 300 goals and 500 assists, before playing 600 games.

The Edmonton Oilers have been turned into a contender, after losing to the Colorado Avalanche in the 2nd round last season, McDavid seems to have taken it personally and is doing his best to attain the Stanley Cup once and for all.
