Oilers fans have speculated that Konecny would be perfect for the team, and in truth, he would, but the price was hefty and the team passed on a 1st and 4th for Scott Laughton.
Many mock trades have been suggested, speculating what could be considered a fair price for Konecy, but will Holland pay it?
The answer is not yet clear. It may not be known until the trade deadline. As for now, there is no official word.
