It disrupts the natural flow of the game and often seems unnecessary.
However, I recently heard an innovative idea from superstar Connor McDavid that could help eliminate this penalty.
McDavid suggests retrofitting the glass around the rink to fold inwards, allowing pucks that accidentally fly into the stands to roll back onto the ice like a bowl. This would keep the game going without the need for constant stoppages and penalties.
I admire McDavid not only for his incredible skills on the ice but also for his creative ideas. It would be great to see the league and teams take action on this proposal, but unfortunately, it may be unlikely.
Should the league embrace his idea and make a move to mitigate the delay of games?
