It was a good news bad news Wednesday night for the Edmonton Oilers.

The good news was the Oilers would pick up a dominating performance defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 in Rogers place.

The bad news is the Oilers may have lost forward Kailer Yamamoto after leaving the game from a hit by Leafs defenceman Justin Holl.

Yamamoto was on the bench but left the game in what we thought was NHL concussion protocol. Yamamoto didn't return. After the game the media would ask Oilers Head Coach Jay Woodcraft about Yamamoto's status:

"Woodcroft didn't have an update on Yamamoto. He left game after the hit, but said he wasn't sure if it was concussion spotter who made the call or not."

The good news for the Oilers is General Manager Ken Holland has two days to make anymore deals if Yamamoto is indeed out who's already had concussion issues.
