Well lets take a trip down memory lane, looking at this unreal goal from Doug Weight, who was an assistant captain at this time.
In 1997, Doug Weight, used his weight and speed to rush through the Calgary Flames defence and score a sensational goal. The remarkable goal was actually featured in the intro clip of NHL '99.
The goal appears right at the beginning, it is the first goal clip that is actually shown in the EA Sports game intro. Right at 0:18 seconds of the video is where the clip can be watched.
Now, if fans can remember that goal, surely they remember the pure on slot from Doug Weight. Playing in an Oilers' uniform from 1992 until 2000, almost a decade worth of Weight in Oil Country. During that time his best year was 1995-96, putting up 104 points with 25 goals and 79 assists in 82 games played.
