It is Edmonton Oilers' intention to stay in contention for the Stanley Cup throughout the season. With the announcement of the Heritage Classic and the signing of former Erie Otter, Connor Brown, the team has had an eventful off-season.

Last season, the Oilers were beaten by the Stanley Cup champion, the Vegas Golden Knights, in the 2nd round. This year, many believe they will win it all.

Friedman on Oilers (32TP): «I'm picking them to win the Stanley Cup, I think they're really good, I think they got a lot to prove, it's a tough division and a tough road, but if Campbell can play at a higher level & Skinner can play at the same level, that's their key to winning

In his 32 Thoughts Podcast, Elliot Friedman predicts that the Edmonton Oilers will win the Stanley Cup this year.

In addition to the strong goalkeeping duo of Jack Campbell and Stuart Skinner, the team has a huge amount of offensive depth at its disposal.

There hasn't been much change on defense, but Darnell Nurse, Mattias Ekholm, and Evan Bouchard round out a strong defense.

Together, the Oilers have decided to come back with a vengeance this season, and as one of the best teams in the NHL last year, they are looking to right the wrongs of last season.
