Edmonton Hockey Game Takes a Turn For The Worst After Melee Attack Breaks Out
During the typical U18 game handshake line, a player from one side hit an opponent in the head, sparking a wild altercation. Players from the two teams began punching one other despite coaches' attempts to intervene and keep things calm. Before making an announcement, the league penalized a number of coaches and players for severe fighting incidents and unsportsmanlike conduct.
An unfortunate incident occurred between two EFHL teams this past weekend. EFHL Officials and staff are working through referees reports provided to ensure all players who participated in the events post game receive the appropriate sanctions. This is not tolerated in the EFHL.
