This candidate is Peter Chiarelli, whose notorious deals caused significant damage to the Oilers organization, which still felt to this day.
Some of Chiarelli's worst deals include sending Ryan Strome, Jordan Eberle, Taylor Hall, and the pick for Anthony Beauvillier to the NYI, among others.
It's surprising that Toronto is considering Chiarelli, but perhaps they are willing to take a risk. As the saying goes, "Don't disturb your enemy while he's making a mistake," after all.
