The Edmonton Oilers were at home Saturday night facing the basement dwelling Chicago Blackhawks. The game started with some interesting news when Oilers General Manager Ken Holland signed U sports goaltender Matt Berlin to a amateur tryout contract to fill in as the Oilers back up vs the Blackhawks.

This move came after the news that goaltender Stuart Skinner was unable to dress due to an undisclosed illness. Berlin has been playing for the University of Alberta's men hockey Team where he is 4-0-1 this season.

With the Oilers leading late in the game, Oilers Head Coach Jay Woodcroft would do something special for Berlin, letting him go in net to replace Jack Campbell to live out his dream to play in the NHL, he finished the last couple minutes of the final frame. This was such a classy move by Woodcroft and a moment Berlin won't soon forget.
