Footage Shows The Oilers True Opponent was The Officiating
The Edmonton Oilers eliminated the LA Kings in round 1 of the playoffs last night, but in the eyes of many Oilers fans, it seems as though the referees were their true opponent throughout the series. The officiating was particularly questionable in Game 6, where the referees showed favoritism towards the LA Kings once again.
When Oilers player Evander Kane was high-sticked in the face, the referee was right in front of him, but no call was made. Later in the game, an Oilers player high-sticked a Kings player, and the referee immediately called a penalty, resulting in a Kings goal.
Despite these challenges, the Oilers were able to overcome the odds and emerge victorious over the LA Kings. Oilers fans will be hoping for fairer officiating in the next round of the playoffs, but for now, they can celebrate a hard-fought series win.
