Wayne Gretzky's contribution to hockey is immeasurable. Well-known as "The Great One" and, in my opinion, the greatest hockey player of all time, he provided millions of fans the opportunity to watch the Edmonton Oilers hoist five Stanley Cups.

He also displayed his legendary talent to other teams, including the St. Louis Blues, Los Angeles Kings, and the New York Rangers.

It has been many years since he laced up the skates to play in the NHL. He has since been involved in broadcasting with TNT and their panel. Now, it appears that Wayne Gretzky is preparing to re-enter the hockey business, teaming up with Northland, a hockey stick brand.

Both groups share a common business goal: to make the game of hockey more affordable for families across North America. You can read more about their partnership here:

Gretzky will work with the Wayne Gretzky Foundation to launch an initiative aimed at reducing the financial costs of playing the sport. Rising costs have hindered the development of young players and turned others away simply because they couldn't afford it.

The partnership will offer a bundle of three hockey sticks manufactured by Northland for $99. This price includes shipping across the continent, providing more young fans with the chance to play the game.

The legend of Wayne Gretzky will live on as "The Great One" continues to help young kids enjoy the game he loved and played.
