Jack Campbell, the former Toronto Maple Leafs starter who signed a five-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers last summer, has had a roller-coaster season. Questions and doubt crept in early on with Campbell's poor play and terrible execution in which the Edmonton Oilers summoned Stuart Skinner into their rotation.
Fast forward to the new year, and Campbell has found his game again. He has rattled off a 8-1-0 and has posted a 2.24 GAA, and a .916 save percentage.
For the moment, the Oilers have some stability within their goaltenders, and there's hope that Campbell can lead them to the playoffs with a great push. Only time will tell to see which Jack Campbell will show up, and for Oilers nation, they hope it's the 2023 edition.
The Oilers will continue their road trip through Canada and play the Ottawa Senators on Saturday at 12:30 PM and then the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday at 12:30 PM eastern.
