McDavid tore it up the Ontario Hockey League as a member of the Erie Otters, as well as helped Canada win gold at the World Junior Hockey Championships, and was drafted 1st overall back in the 2015 NHL Draft.
McDavid has continued to get better each season and now in his prime McDavid is off to the best season of his NHL career and projected to have a 150 plus point season.
The 26 year-old represented the Edmonton Oilers along with teammates Leon Draisaitl and goaltender Stuart Skinner this past weekend at the NHL All-Star game from Florida Panthers FLA Live Arena where he impressed not only the fans but also some players too.
One player that was super excited to see McDavid play was Philadelphia Flyers forward Kevin Hayes. The 30 year-old made his first NHL All-Star game appearance representing the Flyers and was asked during a interview who he was excited to see during the All-Star game? To which Hayes named Connor McDavid.
Hayes would go on to name McDavid as the best player off all time saying:
That's a huge compliment but also a bold claim because despite McDavid being the best player in the world right now many would still name Wayne Gretzky as the "Goat" only time will tell when McDavid's career is all said and done then will know who truly was better.
