The NHL has been doing their best to try to bring more eyes to the best sport in the world with their "Hockey Is For Everyone" Campaign. This comes to help fight the racism and other issues , they believe one's sexual preference that players felt insecure to share.

Last night the New York Islanders made a controversial announcement regarding their "Pride Night" game Thursday vs the Vancouver Canucks:

"The team won't be wearing any rainbow warm up jerseys citing in as a Organizational Policy."

This will definitely cause some criticism towards the Organization but they are now the second team to refuse to participate as the New York Rangers did also, although they didn't make an announcement they just didn't wear the Pride Night jerseys in the Warm up on the set date.

This comes after Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Ivan Provorov refused to participate in the warm-up because of the jersey claiming religious beliefs.

Whether or not how you feel the NHL should be having pride night games or not, something has to be done to either have them with everyone participating or remove them completely to avoid these issues.
