Jay Woodcroft makes a bold statement: as he should
Last night, the Edmonton Oilers faced defeat in Game 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Despite the efforts of
Connor McDavid and the team, the Golden Knights' impressive depth scoring proved too difficult to overcome.
Vegas capitalized on their power-play opportunities, securing a 5-3 victory.
Looking ahead to Game 6 on Sunday, head coach Jay Woodcroft shared his thoughts on the upcoming match. Despite the previous loss, the Oilers remain determined to turn the tide and succeed in the Elimination Game. Woodcroft expressed confidence in his team's ability to rise to the challenge and achieve victory in the upcoming game.
Is it hubris? We'll see, but the team still has the tools available to win this series.
"We have full faith in our ability to respond & that's what we expect to do."
Coach Woodcroft speaks before the team heads back home for Game 6.
