MAJOR: A top Leafs prospect has been injured after a dirty hit
With one of their top prospects injured, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be without a huge presence on the ice in the AHL.
Nick Robertson was injured by a dirty hit during the Toronto Marlies' match against the Charlotte Checkers.
Nick Robertson takes a high hit and stays down on the ice before getting up on his own and heads straight to the #Marlies dressing room.
A dangerous hit caused the 2019 2nd round pick to land brutally on the ice after getting hit in the face.
Although Robertson was able to get off the ice on his own, he hasn't returned from the dressing room.
He was once considered one of the top Maple Leafs prospects who would ultimately make the team. He still hopes to make it to the NHL, but injuries have put a halt to those plans.
Hopefully once, recovered he can work toward his path to NHL stardom soon.
