It is now Thursday, meaning the Edmonton Oilers are playing tomorrow against the New York Rangers, and Kailer Yamamoto has still yet to be placed off of the injury reserved list due to Ken Holland's current cap struggles. The Edmonton Oilers are in need to clear $1.3 million in cap space to activate forward Yamamoto, whether that is by waiving or trading a player.

Today, the Oilers have not placed a forward on waivers, leaving many in question as to if a trade is taking place. Jim Matheson, a long-time writer and reporter for the Edmonton Oilers would reveal that Jesse Puljujarvi is not on the ice for practice, and is also not on waivers.

Meaning a trade is likely about to be finalized... but, we've been told a trade is near for several months now. Will Ken Holland finally act? Or will he continue working in snail mode until the NHL trade deadline...

Puljujarvi not on the ice for practice or on waivers. Either he's been traded or he's injured. Interesting times we are living in.

Puljujarvi not on waivers but not on ice.
