Maple Leafs to Follow The Edmonton Oilers and Host a Special Celebration Night

The Toronto Maple Leafs are well known for many things including their fan base, constant media presence, and recognition and understanding of certain groups. One such group is the Indigenous Community of Canada.
To recognize that culture the Maple Leafs will celebrate the indigenous community on January 7th, 2023.
The goal of this celebration is to give recognition to all cultures of indigenous groups and to understand the deep-rooted presence they have within the community.
The Maple Leafs will be host to the Detroit Red Wings, A classic matchup between two bitter rivals that have sparred for many years especially when the Maple Leafs were in the previous Norris Division before 1998.
Maple Leafs moved to the new Eastern Conference when the NHL did their realignment. The Detroit Red Wings moved to the Eastern Conference in the 2013-2014 season.
