As the preseason schedule continues to unfold, superstar Connor McDavid appears to have not skipped a beat from last year and the playoffs, as his play during the preseason is in mid-season form. The Oilers played against the Seattle Kraken tonight and gave the fans of Climate Pledge Arena a show.

During the play at the beginning of the third period, McDavid handled the puck while they were in the Kraken's end and rifled a shot tightly against the goalie, which fooled Seattle goalie Philipp Grubauer.

This broke the tie and led to the Oilers beating the Kraken 4-1. These tune-up games are important for players like McDavid as they prepare for the onslaught that is the regular season.

It's widely expected that McDavid will have another banner year as the Oilers have unfinished business after losing to the Vegas Golden Knights in the second round of the last playoffs.

The Oilers have two games remaining in their preseason schedule. In the next game, they will face the Flames who are on the road, and then the Kraken will visit them at Rogers Place to close out the preseason. Both games will be held at 9:00 PM.
