It's always important to infuse a sense of renewal and refreshment into a brand periodically, whether it involves introducing a new jersey design, enhancing seating and food options, or updating logos around the ice. All NHL teams have engaged in this practice over time, with some changes being subtle and inconspicuous while others are bold and impossible to miss.

The Edmonton Oilers have chosen to revamp their home ice by introducing a striking modification to the red line encircling the Oilers logo. This transformation is readily apparent in a video shared on Twitter

where viewers can witness the addition of oil drops to the red line.
This alteration serves as a symbolic representation of Alberta's most abundant natural resource and the livelihoods of numerous Albertans who work in the oil industry. It also aligns seamlessly with the team's moniker, "the Oilers."

Upon viewing the video, it becomes evident that the change is visually compelling. The camera pans out to reveal the completed work, imparting the team with a fresh and invigorating appearance.

As the training camp approaches, set to open in the next couple of weeks, and NHL fans prepare for another season, excitement is palpable in the city of Edmonton, especially within the confines of their hockey arena.
