It's incredible how the game of hockey has evolved over the past many decades. The skill set along with the hockey IQ along with training in coaching has been taken to a new level where young kids can achieve great accomplishments in such a short period of time.
This was the case for Jaxson Jacobson. Today was a special day for him because at the age of 14, he suited up for the Brandon Wheat Kings which makes him the youngest player ever to do so.
To put the icing on the cake he also scored two goals in that game which is incredible.
The Wheat Kings are a proud organization who have been a staple with Brandon, MB since 1936. The organization has a long list of NHL stars including, Ray Ferraro, Brian Propp, Andrei Vasilevskiy and Wade Redden as members of their alumni.
As Jacobson's game continues to mature along with his physical size, he will certainly be a player to watch in the coming years who may grace the NHL Entry Draft one day.
