OFFICIAL REPORT: Shane Wright to be Traded Within The Next Few Days
The Seattle Kraken have a big decision to be made within the next few days, regarding their fourth overall pick in the 2022 NHL entry draft, Shane Wright.
When the World Junior Championship ends after January 5th the Seattle Kraken must make a decision if they are keeping him in the NHL, or will send him back to his respective OHL team, the Kingston Frontenacs.
NHL Scout Grant McKagg revealed Wright will likely be sent down to the OHL, the Kingston Frontenacs are not in a good place in the standings which means they will offload players, Wright being one of them, and send them off to contenders.
Former NHL scout Grant McKagg stated the following:
''The expectation is that Kingston will trade Wright's rights sometime between now and the end of the WJC. Might he be going to the Ottawa 67s? Stay tuned.''
Wright has 3 goals and 2 assists throughout three games at the World Juniors this year, and hasn't shown any good signs of play at the NHL level.
