The Oilers have had a great goaltending tandem consisting of Stuart Skinner and Jack Campbell. Campbell has had a great season, sporting a record of 17-8-4, but has a low save percentage. Campbell has a 3.39 GAA and a .887 save percentage.
The Oilers announced that tonight's starter against the Flyers will be Stuart Skinner. Skinner is 13-11-4 on the season, but has been much more reliable between the pipes than Campbell. Skinner has a 2.95 GAA and a .913 save percentage on the season.
While both goaltenders have had good seasons for the Oilers, the offense has been carrying the team to the majority of their successes. The team has a +23 goal differential and has had good support between the pipes. Skinner is set to have a very ideal matchup tonight against the Flyers.
Forward Travis Konecny left last night's game with an injury and is doubtful to play tonight against the Oilers. The Flyers also have a -29 goal differential on the year and are only averaging 2.65 goals for per game. Without their leading scorer Konecny, the Flyers will be in trouble offensively tonight.
