Mattias Janmark, an Oilers winger, has had a difficult postseason thus far. He participated in their postseason opener versus Los Angeles but left the game early due to a lower-body injury sustained while blocking a shot. He came back to start their second-round series against Vegas, but Postmedia's Robert Tychkowski reports that Janmark hasn't skated since slamming his head against the boards in that game and that there is no estimated time for his return.

Janmark joined Edmonton as an unrestricted free agent this summer, but he didn't make it through training camp and had to clear waivers in the first week of October. After only four games with AHL Bakersfield, he was called up, and for the remainder of the season, he remained with the Oilers.

The 30-year-old finished up playing in 66 games for Edmonton during the regular season, sustaining his steady productivity with 10 goals and 15 assists. Janmark's lowest and greatest point totals throughout the previous three seasons were 24 and 25, respectively. In his seven-season career, he has now precisely achieved this mark three times. In the playoffs, Edmonton's depth scoring has been a concern, but Janmark, one of their best depth scorers, will once again be away for a short period of time.
