Marc-Andre Fleury, a friendly and skilled player, faced an unexpected issue. New NHL rules by Gary Bettman fine players for expressing themselves it seems, and Fleury looks to be penalized alongside the Minnesota Wild.

He plans to wear a special mask for Native American Night, created by artist Cole Red-Horse Taylor. Adorned with quotes from his dad and his kids' names, it meant a lot to Fleury.

But Bettman, with Bill Daly and the NHL, said no. They threatened fines for Fleury and his team. Fleury said he'd wear it and pay the fine, so the NHL threatened the Wild team with more fines.

Marc-Andre Fleury indicated he was planning to wear the mask anyway and pay the fine. The NHL then threatened the Wild organization with an additional significant fine.

This makes people question the NHL's decision to stop a beloved player like Fleury from supporting his family with his helmet. In what might be Fleury's last season, many think it's a bad choice by Bettman and the league.

Fleury's tribute to his kids and family adds emotion to this moment in his career.
