An absolutely amazing find has popped up at an online auction for the ultimate collectibles that are hockey cards. According to a post from BR Open Ice, an entire sealed case of hockey cards is for sale from the 1979-80 season, Gretzky's official rookie year after leaving the WHA.

The entire case holds 16 individual cartons of cards with 48 packs each, totalling an incredible 768 total packs of hockey cards. With the year being Gretzky's rookie year and the cards being in mint condition, the price of the cards have absolutely skyrocketed past $1M at the time of writing, and it's still increasing.

A single mint condition Wayne Gretzky rookie card sells for around $3.75M, so even if a single prime condition card is found in the case, it'll be a great investment to the buyer. If there happens to be two Gretzky cards, it would essentially be like winning the lottery. If you've got a million dollars lying around and feel confident you could pull two Gretzky cards, here's a business opportunity for you!
