Sidney Crosby and Reporter Make a Crazy Bet That'll Benefit Charity
Sidney Crosby is widely known for his incredible ice hockey skills, even though the Pittsburgh Penguins have had a less-than-stellar season, currently occupying fifth place in the Metropolitan Division. However, the upcoming game against the Washington Capitals, who are in sixth place, promises to be an exciting matchup.
To add to the anticipation, Penguins reporter Rob Rossi has made a unique bet with Crosby. Rossi has offered to donate to a charity of Crosby's choice if he can successfully score a one-time backhander during the game. Rossi tweeted about the wager, expressing his confidence in Crosby's ability to pull it off.
"I may have bet Sidney Crosby that he can't one-time a backhander to score in a game. OK, I did. If he does, I'll donate to a charity of his choice. He's gonna do it, isn't he? Worth it. That would be something to see," Rossi tweeted.
The exact amount of money Rossi will donate and the duration of the bet is unclear, but it has certainly added an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming game. Fans of the Penguins, and Crosby in particular, will be eagerly watching to see if the superstar can successfully complete this impressive feat and raise money for a worthy cause in the process.
