The Edmonton Oilers' Career That Was Cut Way Too Short
As Oscar Klefbom celebrates his 30th birthday today, it's a reminder of the promising career that was unfortunately cut short due to injury.
The defenseman proved to be an essential asset for the Edmonton Oilers, leading the team in time on ice over the last four seasons in which he played 60 or more games.
Known for his ability to log heavy minutes and contribute in all situations, Klefbom was highly valued by his teammates and coaches alike. Drafted 19th overall in 2011, his career trajectory was unfortunately altered by his injury struggles.
Despite the premature end to his playing days, Klefbom's impact and potential were evident throughout his time in the NHL.
