The Oilers have sent more players packing today as the team begins to resemble the opening lineup.

29 year old Drake Caggiula was one of the released players. The Oilers signed him as an entry-level free agent. Caggiula's games played over the last eight seasons have declined with just 4 games played last season.
Greg McKegg was also released.

McKegg was signed in 2022 to a two year deal. He played 223 NHL games over eight consecutive seasons. Last year he failed to impress at Oilers camp and spent almost the entire year in the AHL.

Goalie Oliver Rodriguez also released, played a strong game in his one preseason appearance, allowing one goal in 65 minutes vs. Winnipeg. He will now challenge Condors starter Calvin Pickard for a more equal share of the net this upcoming season.

24 year old Noel Hoefenmayer was also released, He now finds himself among 2 other LD's, Cam Dineen and Ben Gleason to be shipped out.

One other notable release today was Oilers #8 prospect LW Carter Savoie who saw action in Calgary Friday night, playing 10:15 of total ice time.
