The Edmonton Oilers are close to an extension with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl
It's undeniable that Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid are the top players on the team, and their talent is unmatched by anyone else.
It's not surprising that there is talk of extending their contracts once again, given their outstanding performances in the past seasons.
Both players achieved over 100 points and played a key role in leading the Edmonton Oilers to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Last couple of days Bob has been foreshadowing long term extensions for 97 and 29. That makes me smile. #LetsGoOilers
That's still ways away but good too see leom and connor are wanting to stick
At present, Draisaitl has one year left on his $8.5 Million AAV contract which will end in 2024-2025, while Connor McDavid still has three years left on his current contract with an AAV of $12.5 Million.
Since the team is still in the running for the cup, it's not wise to let go of your star players without a long-term contract. In order to keep Oil Country competitive, Holland will have to pay top dollar once again to keep their superstars happy.
We're counting on you, Ken!
