The Edmonton Oilers reinvest back into Edmonton significantly
In 2001, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation was established as a means for the team to give back to the community that supports them.
This year, the team was able to reinvest a significant amount of money back into the community, thanks to the unwavering dedication of Oilers fans.
💙 THANK YOU, OIL COUNTRY 🧡
The EOCF announced today that more than $17 million was invested into the community during the 2022-23 #Oilers season due to the unwavering support & generosity of Albertans!
Through the EOCF, $17 million will be donated to registered charitable organizations in Edmonton this year.
These donations will benefit a variety of causes, including programs that work with underrepresented groups to promote the growth of hockey.
The ultimate goal is to foster a passionate and dedicated community of fans who continue to support the Oilers and the sport they love.
