The three Hart Trophy finalists have been revealed, and there is one familiar face on this list.
My only question is: where's
Leon Draisaitl? Leon had 128 points in 80 games (1.6 PPG) and had over 50 goals. Leon is also carrying this current Oilers playoff run. He deserves to be on this list.
The obvious winner here is Connor McDavid. McDavid had 153 points with 64 goals, and many highlight worthy moments. Pasternak is another deserving candidate with his 62 goal season, being a threat on the power play.
The only problem is Matthew Tkachuk being here over Draisaitl. Tkachuk had 100+ points, but in no means is he better than Leon. I think in this case the NHL just wanted to spread the love around, so they added in Matthew.
I guarantee it, you're 2023 Hart Trophy winner is Connor McDavid, as it should be.
