The Hockey Community Has Lost a Legend Today
The hockey world is saddened by the passing of Willie Marshall at the age of 91. Marshall, known for his prolific goal-scoring ability, enjoyed a remarkable career spanning from 1952 to 1972.
He played 33 NHL games exclusively for the Toronto Maple Leafs and retired as the leading scorer in the AHL, earning him the honor of having the league's leading goal scorer award named after him.
The AHL community pays tribute to Marshall, recognizing his significant contributions to the sport. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Willie Marshall's family during this difficult time. May he find eternal rest.
