The Next NHL Draft Will be Where?
In 2017, the NHL Expansion Draft took place in Las Vegas, allowing the Vegas Golden Knights to select both experienced players and promising prospects to build their team.
However, some criticized the process for giving the team an advantage and allowing them to build a successful team quickly, unlike other expansion teams from the late 90s and 2000s.
Despite this criticism, the Golden Knights have once again made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in just five years, boasting a talented lineup that includes Jack Eichel and Mark Stone, among others.
According to NHL Insider Elliott Friedman, the team will receive another draft in 2024. It seems the league has taken a liking to hockey in the desert.
