The Edmonton Oilers have been training since September, since the team is all in this season. As Leon Draisaitl acknowledged in his recent interview, their window for winning a Stanley Cup might be closing in the next few years if they do not succeed.
The team acquired Connor Brown on a bargain contract during the off-season and since then, Brown and Connor McDavid, a former Eerie Otters teammate, have been reunited.

There has been some experimentation with putting Evander Kane on the same line as these two, and so far, it seems as though the new top line for the Oilers is clicking.
It can be seen in the video that McDavid and Kane are connecting on a silky-smooth front-net pass, resulting in Kane scoring a goal on the play.

There is no doubt that McDavid remains an elite playmaker, while at the same time being a superstar center.
