This morning, a new face was spotted at Edmonton Oilers practice
The Edmonton Oilers were re-joined by defenseman Mattias Ekholm during practice this morning.
As per Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton, Ekholm will not start the regular season because of a hip flexor injury. After being out for 4 practices, Ekholm skated today.

Ekholm admitted during Friday's practice that he expected the injury to heal faster.
Nevertheless, it's great to see Ekholm skating on ice again, and hopefully he'll be healthy soon! At this time, he will not play against the Seattle Kraken in the final preseason game.
Between the Nashville Predators and Edmonton Oilers in 2022-2023, Ekholm scored nine goals and scored 32 points.
