The Oilers may want to target their Alberta rivals in Calgary for their first pick, Daniel Vladar. Vladar could be a trade piece for the Flames as Dustin Wolf is bound to make the NHL soon. He has a 1-1 record and .842 save percentage with the Flames right now.
While Vladar may regain his form in the future, his value at present is at its lowest for a buy-in, and it may cost more, but is keeping the current tandem sustainable?
Next, the team could target Buffalo Sabres goalie Eric Comrie, who is currently supporting Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Devon Levi. Despite only playing two games this season, Comrie has posted a 1-1 record and a .923 save percentage.
Running three goalies is no easy task, but Buffalo may find it difficult to part with Comrie as an insurance option.
Alternatively, they could contact Mike Grier and see if Kaapo Kahkonen is available, as he is 0-2 in the same division, with a .897 save percentage and a 3.60 GAA. Considering the fact, the numbers could be worse.
Even though the team may have to pay more for a divisional rival goalie, Kahkonen's value isn't high either.
In comparison to Campbell and Skinner, Kahkonen has posted a .920 save percentage against high-danger shots.
