Tragic News Hits The TJ Oshie Family and Friends
T.J. Oshie's bond with his father was special, and losing him on a significant day for the Washington Capitals in 2018 was undoubtedly a devastating tragedy.
Unfortunately, more bad news hit Oshie recently with the sudden passing of his close friend Michael Tveiter at the young age of 37.
Heartbroken by the news, Oshie took to social media to express his grief and share the unexpected loss of his high school teammate.
Tveiter passed away in his sleep from a migraine, leaving behind his wife Darnell and their three sons Carson, Cooper, and Cullen.
"Absolutely heartbroken to learn that my good friend and high school teammate unexpectedly died yesterday while taking a nap from a migraine.

Oshie and Tveiter had been teammates on the Warroad High School's hockey team, winning two state championships together.
