Trevor Zegras scores yet another incredible goal
On the NHL's last night before the Christmas break, hockey fans were gifted not just one, but two incredible goals. In an earlier game between the Blackhawks and Blues, Connor Bedard scored the famed Michigan goal - and then Zegras did as well just a few hours later.
Late in the third period and down two goals against the Seattle Kraken, Trevor Zegras found himself in his office behind the net. With time and space available, he was able to pull off the Michigan goal once again.
It's incredible to see the skill required to pull off this goal just once in an NHL season, let alone twice in one night. The future of the NHL is clearly in incredibly skilled hands.
Funny enough, there's controversy around the Michigan goal. It's been famously denounced by some massive hockey figures including John Tortorella and Don Cherry, but dismissing these goals is simply ridiculous. They have high degree of skill and difficulty, can only be executed with time and space, and show the NHL is still innovating to find ways to score.
