This conclusion makes a lot of sense to most. Vegas rode into this season on the back of their cup winning duo,
Logan Thompson and
Adin Hill. Both have continued their vezina-contending play in this season, despite some ever persistent injury issues. This leaves Lehner as the odd-man out, as his future health is also up for debate. He still sits on LT-IR, and consensus says he will stay that way until an announcement of his retirement. There is definitely no spot for him in Vegas, and it looks doubtful he will ever play a game in the NHL again.
