Most members of Oilers Nation, along with most pundits in the NHL, feel that Oilers forward Jesse Puljujarvi requires a change of address. The 4th overall draft choice in the 2016 NHL draft has yet to live up to the expectations that Oilers management hoped for.

As the March 3rd NHL trade deadline approaches, the rumors and the background noise have become deafening. And reports recently have said a deal is in place for the Oilers and the 24-year-old forward.

That has been called into question as the Oilers are waiting to see the status of Oilers forward Kailer Yamamoto, who has been sitting on LTIR for several weeks.

This trade should move forward regardless of Yamamoto's status, as the team's improvements for their playoff push continue to be needed .

Several teams have been mentioned as potential suitors for him, including the Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Minnesota Wild.
Time will tell, but this player will move on before March 4th. The Oilers will be on the road and playing the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday, February 7th. Game time will be at 7:30 PM.
