This week, Ryan Rishaug faced criticism for sharing a video clip of Connor McDavid favoring his leg while shooting during practice.
However, it is unclear whether McDavid was previously injured or hiding an injury, as there was a questionable play during Game 3 that may have caused a re-injury.
To further examine this possibility, take a look at the controversial hit by Drew Doughty on McDavid.
During the game, Doughty appears to make contact with McDavid's knee, causing him to easily knock him off the puck.
McDavid falls to the ice and it seems that this may have caused the injury in question, but there has been no word yet from Oilers GM Ken Holland or the front office to confirm, and if there was, i am sure it would not be made public.
