The Edmonton Oilers may look to the OHL for their 56th pick in search of great center potential, similar to their star player Connor McDavid. Carey Terrance stands out as a strong option if he is available, and here's why.

Despite having Dylan Holloway, Xavier Bourgalt, Jayden Grubbe, and Tyler Tullio in their center pipeline, it's always beneficial to have more options. Terrance's on-ice performance speaks for itself, with 30 goals and 17 assists for 47 points in 67 games in the OHL, a significant improvement from his previous season's 10 goals and 14 assists in 62 games.

At just 17 years old, Terrance has already led the Eerie Otters in scoring, even though he played on a struggling team.

His stick-handling skills are impressive, as he can handle the puck while moving at high speeds, allowing him to maintain possession.

Additionally, he's not afraid to crash the net, fight for pucks in tough areas, and has the speed to beat defenders.

While Terrance's rankings vary depending on the source, NHL Central Scouting ranks him 38th in American skaters, McKeans Hockey at 54th, and Eliteprospects at 128th. Nevertheless, if he's available, he would be a great addition to any team and a steal for the Edmonton Oilers.
