Canucks organization under fire after fan shares viral photo of criminal prices
Going to an NHL game nowadays can cost as much as a whole vacation in some cities. Vancouver is known to be one of the most expensive cities in Canada, and a few days ago, a Canucks fan shared a photo of how that's effecting games. The fan shared that she paid just over $9 to receive a pitiful amount of fries.
With less than 15 fries in the bin, the customer is paying nearly 70 cents per fry. In response, plenty of fans chimed in noting that this is trend across the league. Some fans chimed in with ridiculous prices for bottles of water as well, up to $6!
When times are tough for many people right now, it's absurd to see teams around the league raise prices in any way they can - especially Canadian teams when they become successful. With everything looking great for the Edmonton Oilers right now, ownership made the controversial decision to jack their season tickets and playoff prices, something fans have been up in arms about for the last week.
It's a harsh reality for fans that owners are just looking to make as much money as possible, and will raise the prices any way they can to increase profits. All we as fans can hope for is that it all becomes worth it with a Stanley Cup.
